Ramin Lalezari is currently in his final year of an MD/MBA dual degree program at Washington University in St. Louis. He grew up in Los Angeles and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California in Los Angeles in Business Economics. At Washington University, he runs Sling Health STL, a 501(c)(3) student-run biotechnology incubator program that sources clinical problems from local hospitals and brings together student teams to develop commercially viable solutions through a 9-month accelerator program.
Beyond his work in healthcare entrepreneurship, Mr. Lalezari has an interest in health policy. As a medical student, he led his classmates’ chapter of the American Medical Association and led a campaign to lobby for Medicaid expansion in Jefferson City. He served as Vice Councilor from the Medical Student Section to the Missouri State Medical Association and sat on the AMA’s Committee on Economics and Quality in Medicine. In his free time, Mr. Lalezari enjoys playing soccer, brewing tea, and volunteering at his medical school’s free clinic.
