Dr. Marissa Camilon was born and raised in San Diego, CA before attending college at the University of California Irvine, where she majored in biology and minored in history. She completed medical school at the USC Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Camilon is currently an emergency medicine resident at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. She is interested in medical education, providing health care to underserved populations and international medicine. As a medical student, Marissa was a columnist for the blog HouseCallMD. She is involved in the Committee of Intern and Residents at her institution and is currently a WikEM section editor. In her (rare) free time, Dr. Camilon loves to bake, hike, spend time with her fiancé and family, and read non-medical books.
